“I bought this beautiful gold locket with this lady inside. The seller didn’t know who she is or where it came from, and I don’t have the heart to take it out, so Mrs. H.D Lillebridge is hanging out with me around my neck every day! My kids always ask me to open it so they can see “the ghost lady”. Sourced from thrift shop in Nashville, TN”
“UPDATE: I believe I have found Mary’s only living son and granddaughter. I have reached out to them both so now we wait!”
“CONCLUSION: Contact has been made and two granddaughters are very excited to have a memory of their Grandma Mary back! THE LOCKET IS GOING HOME I didn’t want to invade their privacy but I had to know how it got lost, sounds like her possessions were all sold in the Estate when she passed without all of the family getting a chance to get anything. I was told that Grandma Mary was just as amazing as we all thought. I can’t thank you all enough for your help in reuniting a piece of family history to where I think Mary would have wanted it. Personally, this has been extremely gratifying. One of the first questions people have asked me is if I’m giving it back since I paid a lot for it. I’m absolutely giving it back no questions asked, monetary value never trumps doing the right thing in my book.”
