Imagine if you will, rounding the corner in your empty and unfinished house, distracted by a phone call, and catching a glimpse of this young lady out of the corner of your eye.
This is Charlotte 2. When I was little my grampa (a product of the great depression and therefore very thrifty) picked up a similar doll from a junk pile. She needed her arm repaired which he did and then he brought her home to be my doll. I named her Charlotte. Years passed and someone staying in the home where Charlotte was stored stole her along with many of my other belongings. I was sad and then over time I mostly forgot about her.
A few months ago my memory was jogged when I saw This lovely lass in an estate auction and bid on her (along with a Skippy Scribbles bear and a wooden rocking horse). Luck was with me and I won all 3 for the grand total of $8.
I brought Charlotte 2 home and now I delight in placing her in various spots around our unfinished home and scaring myself and my kids silly.
