In 1957, viewers were heartbroken as they bid farewell to Lucille Ball’s iconic role as I Love Lucy’s lovable character. But after a hiatus filled with Broadway stints and successful film roles, Ball made a highly anticipated comeback in 1962 as Lucy Carmichael in The Lucy Show.
